At A M Yoder & Co., customer service is alive and well. Our system eliminates the uncertainty of building a new home and gives owners the assurance that their home will be built on time, on budget and the final result will exceed expectations.
Service starts pre-contract with consulting services for potiential clients, and estimating, buildability and pricing services for architects that are free if we are selected to build your home.
Our exemplary customer service continues during contracting. A M Yoder & Co. prefers fixed price contracts, giving owners total confidence in the finished price of their home. We work with owners to specify as many items as possible before signing the contract, with detailed allowances given when items are not selected.
During construction, owners will be invoiced monthly. The itemized invoice provides a basis for the billing, and summarizes all additions, deductions, allowance progress and change orders. Change orders are recorded and signed by both Owner and Contractor before the change is made.
To further inform the client and ensure truly custom results, five site meetings are scheduled between the Owner and Contractor. Pre-Clearing, framing, pre-electrical, final and closing meetings will guarantee that Owners will get answers to their questions and have every opportunity to tailor their home to their specific needs and wants. Owners are encouraged to contact A M Yoder & Co. at any time during construction.
Communication is a key component to any successful project. A M Yoder & Co. utilizes basecamp.com, a web-based project management service that allows Owners to communicate with A M Yoder & Co. personnel from anywhere with an internet connection. Basecamp.com provides a fast and easy format for Owners to monitor construction progress, submit and/or review samples, view pictures of their home, ask questions and perform countless other tasks to ensure their project continues moving ahead.
When construction ends, A M Yoder & Co.'s service continues. During the closing meeting, A M Yoder & Co. provides the Owner with instructional material about the systems and warranties of their new home. Following closing, Owners have a 30 day "extended walk through" to make sure their new home meets expectations. A M Yoder & Co. offers a complete 1 year warranty on all custom homes, and extended warranties on EarthCraft Certified homes.
